Red Car Analytics provides technical expertise on building energy systems and HVAC for commercial buildings as part of the PG&E Code Readiness team in support of Title 24 codes and standards enhancement. Services include market research to identify key technologies and systems including field monitoring, technology deployment and installation, data gathering and analytics, energy modeling, and industry advocacy to the design community.

The primary goal is to demonstrate effective energy efficiency strategies using real market data to enhance building codes in support of California’s long range goals of reducing carbon emissions from the built environment. The project analyzes buildings’ operations including data on energy and thermal performance, controls optimization, cost, feasibility, potential compliance pathways, and barriers to adoption.

The team provides strategic energy consulting services to identify technologies, holistic design strategies, and create a connection to designers, builders, and local code jurisdictions.
