Project Summary

Red Car Analytics is providing energy audit services for SMUD non-residential customers to support building energy efficiency and electrification upgrades. Red Car Analytics’ role includes performing site energy/electrification audits and working with mechanical and electrical design engineers to recommend energy efficiency and electrification system upgrades. Types of buildings audited to-date include large office, K-12 schools, and bottling factory.

Example electrification measures include conversion of natural gas boilers to air source heat pumps for industrial heating, conversion of dual duct comfort heating cooling system to DOAS and hydronic system for a large office, and replacement of natural gas boilers to air source heat pumps for outdoor pool heating.
